Staff Requirements
All summer staff at Eden Village Camp are required to be at least 17 years old, provide multiple references, pass a background check, and participate in a 9-day staff training.

Why should I work at Eden Village Camp?
Working at Eden Village Camp is a rewarding and unique experience. Each day our staff change the lives of our campers. Our staff is a strong, close-knit community who love waking up each morning at camp. If you love working with kids and being part of a team, you’ll love working at Eden Village Camp!
What qualifications do I need to be a staff member?
At a minimum you need to be 17 years old, have experience working with youth, and excited to work at camp! Many staff positions require additional certifications, training, and experience.
What if I’m interested in multiple positions?
That’s great! You can mark down which positions you’re interested in when you fill out your staff application. Once we receive your application, we’ll be in touch with you about which positions we think are the best fit.
When should I apply to work at camp?
Now! Staff applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Most positions are filled by mid-January. In late-January we will update the staff page to reflect which positions are still open.
How do I apply to work at camp?

Where is camp? What are the facilities and what is nearby?
Camp is located on 248 acres in Putnam Valley, New York, about an hour north of New York City. We’re surrounded by forest and the Appalachian Trail runs right through our backyard! We have a pool, lake, miles of hiking trails, teaching kitchen, herbalism apothecary, basketball courts, tennis courts, outdoor playing fields, and a 4 acre farm and fruit orchard. We’re about 7 miles down the road from Cold Spring, the Metro North train line, and the Hudson River.
What are the accommodations for staff?
Bunk staff live in cabins with campers while non-bunk staff live in cabins with other staff. All cabins have electricity, bathrooms, and showers.
Will I get days off and free time?
Every staff member receives a day off each week to rest, rejuvenate, and build community with other staff. Break time for each staff is built into the daily schedule.
